NASA Astronauts Visit Space Launch System Manufacturing Facility

NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Ike Glover toured the Space Launch System booster manufacturing operations at our Clearfield and Promontory, Utah, facilities earlier this month. Employees had the unique opportunity to hear from the two astronauts – one who has flown in space using our products (Wilmore) and a newly selected and trained astronaut (Glover).

The astronauts had the opportunity to see our booster operations from start to finish, and also attended personal “Booster 101 Training” providing them with a birds-eye view of what it takes to build a booster. Below are a few select photos from their visit.
